“Here's a taster of our commercial releases to date!”
Acoustic Covers 2019
The Hannah's Yard 'Reflections' covers EP has achieved just shy of 400k streams on Spotify to date, with their version of Randy Newman's 'Feels Like Home' achieving a healthy 250k streams on its own.
In light of this, Hannah and her musicians have decided to continue their experiments with 'acoustic covers' and release a whole host of singles across the year ahead...each one marking some'thing' or some'one' significant.
They start with 2019 marking UK boy band Take That's 30th anniversary year and wonder whether they'll be making music in another 24 years time!!!
'Back for Good' was one of the band's biggest songs, achieving 'British Single of the Year' at the 1996 Brit Awards. The song also reached #7 on the 'United States Billboard Hot 100', spending a total of thirty weeks on the chart. Take That became the first British boy band to achieve a Top Ten single in the USA throughout the Nineties.
The Hannah's Yard understated acoustic version was released on Friday 15 March 2019...and many more covers will be released across the year...perhaps the odd original might appear too!
Christmas Covers EP
Released on Friday 7 December 2018, 'Let It Snow!' features three festive tracks - two 'acoustic covers' of Christmas classics (following on from their 'Reflections' EP) and a re-release of their original Christmas song '(It's Christmas) Say That You'll Stay, recorded at Abbey Road's Institute studios back in 2016.
The two acoustic covers - Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! and In the Bleak Midwinter - also feature on the Tristar Records Christmas compilation album 'Acoustic Christmas Hits' and achieved a notable 179k streams on Spotify during the 25 day run up to Christmas 2018!
